COP29 hosts event on effective plastic waste management in Blue Zone
An event titled “Effective management of Plastic Waste for Climate Resilience: Understanding Challenges and Discovering Opportunities” was organized as part of the COP29 session.
The event, implemented by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and REC Caucasus partnership, with the support of EcoHub PU, brought together government officials from various countries working in the field of plastic waste management and climate resilience, representatives of international organizations, and local and international experts.
The aim of the meeting is to discuss the global and regional challenges posed by plastic waste, share best practices, and explore possible solutions.

On November 12, 2024, at the National NGO Forum Pavilion located in the Green Zone within the framework of COP29, “Eco Hub” Public Association for Support of Ecological Initiatives held an event on the topic “Strengthening Communication for Climate Literacy and Project Management in Climate Projects: Capacity Building for Civil Society, Media and Youth”.
At the event, Media expert, founder of PreMark Agency Azer Nazarov, Head of the Innovative Business and Incubator Center, Deputy Head of the Project Management Department Rasim Abdullayev, and Senior Advisor of the Department of Design and Innovation of Public Services of the State Agency for Development and Innovation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Zahra Hashimova shared their experiences to increase the knowledge and skills of the participants.

Within the framework of COP29, Eco Hub Public Association held an exchange of experiences with local and international organizations. The event included a film screening and discussion session to share experiences on climate change in order to promote joint activities on climate change with local organizations such as ASAN Volunteers and international organizations such as PT Pertamina, CBIT Indonesia, Coaction Indonesia. This event, where climate change issues were discussed on a global scale, also provided an opportunity for local non-governmental organizations and volunteers from Azerbaijan and Indonesia to share their experiences, learn from each other, and add a new perspective to the environmental activities of both countries.

On November 11, 2024, at the National NGO Forum Pavilion located in the Green Zone within the framework of COP29, “Eco Hub” Public Association for Support of Ecological Initiatives held an event on the topic “Cooperation in solving environmental issues: the role of NGOs in the environmental activities of companies”. Tukezban Agababayeva, Secretary of the Public Council under the MENR, Chairwoman of the EcoHub Public Association, said that the goal is to convey to a wide audience the important role of NGOs in solving environmental problems and to highlight the importance of cooperation with NGOs in the environmental policies of companies.
