COP29 - Blue Zone event on plastic waste management held

"An event on effective management of plastic waste and climate resilience was organized in the Blue Zone within the framework of COP29. International experts and government officials participated and discussed new approaches to waste reduction. The event was organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and REC Caucasus partnership, with the support of Eco Hub Public Association. The event titled “Effective management of Plastic Waste for Climate Resilience: Understanding Challenges and Discovering Opportunities” brought together government officials, representatives of international organizations and experts from different countries to discuss the issues of plastic waste management and climate resilience. During the event, participants exchanged views on the challenges posed by plastic waste at the global and regional levels, shared best practices, and discussed new opportunities to address this issue."
