Ecohub, an environmental executive partnership, conducts environmental surveys among the public!

Environmental surveys are conducted within the framework of the "Clean Sumgayit" project, which is carried out in order to involve packaging waste sorting and collection and sending for recycling. The purpose of the project survey is to find out the opinions of the population about sorting, as well as their attitudes towards sorting, recycling and waste sorting projects. On the basis of the collected and analyzed results, it is planned to take appropriate steps and expand the educational activities. ASAN volunteers and eco-volunteers who took part in trainings on sustainable development, ecology, recycling, compilation and processing of surveys were involved in the organization of surveys in Sumgayit city. It should be noted that the "Clean Sumgayit" project is implemented with the support of the Ecohub ecological executive partnership, the cooperation of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the Sumgayit City Executive Authority and a number of leading companies such as "Coca-Cola", "Carlsberg", "Unilever". According to the project, 4 types of waste - glass, paper, plastic and metal are sorted and collected in different containers and then sent to processing facilities. Waste sorting contributes to the economy in addition to preventing pollution, conserving natural resources, saving energy. Sorting and recycling packaging waste creates ample opportunities for efficient use of natural resources.
